Dust swirls as you climb the attic stairs. A whisper curls through the rafters: “The wind clawed at the windows, desperate to be let in.”

02

The whisper grows louder, forming words in the dust: “The hallway was an ocean of shadows."

03

The attic creaks again. You find a candle with a note that reads: “The scent of dust and sorrow filled the air.”

A briefcase appeared...

It's locked with a key...look in the inventory for something to open it

The ghost laughs, low and cold. “So close,” he whispers. “But not enough.”

The lights dim until only his eyes remain. “Try again,” Eleanor cries faintly from somewhere in the dark. “Find the meaning before the house seals shut!”

Congratulations

The briefcase springs open with a burst of light. From inside, a ghostly figure rises—Eleanor herself, her form swirling with ink and smoke. “You did it,” she whispers. “You chose the words that freed me.” The dark ghost stumbles backward, his form unraveling like paper caught in flame. “You’ve broken the story,” he hisses. “And ended mine.” Eleanor steps forward and presses a small, iron key into your palm. “Take it—the Key of Release. It opens the way out.” The basement door creaks open. Moonlight spills in, and the air grows lighter.
