Why do edits I make in a document for a citation not carry over to my RefWorks citation list?
For some citation styles, citations need to be in sentence casing. However, RefWorks doesn’t recognize most proper nouns, and RefWorks will override manual changes to in-text citations or the bibliography each time you sync changes or make an update. For this reason, wait to change to sentence casing until the very end, before you submit your paper. This demonstration shows that when you manually change a proper noun to a capital letter in the bibliography, add a new in-text citation, and RefWorks syncs change, the letter you capitalized is no longer capitalized. So, change proper nouns and capital letters at the very end.
