Poodll is a plugin that provides accessibility in Moodle (i.e. voice-to-text, text-to-speech, audio forums, and audio feedback).

WordPress
WordPress is an online and open-source platform creation tool that powers 34% of the Internet (WordPress.com, 2019). It is especially popular as a platform used for blogging, but has a variety of uses (i.e. creating open/reusable materials and assignments, e-portfolio showcase, websites, and even the underlying of Open textbooks (Pressbooks) is built using WordPress.

Pressbooks is an online platform that enables the creation, design, and publication of books. At KPU we use Pressbooks to publish Open Educational Resources (OER).

Padlet
Padlet is a digital and versatile collaborative bulletin board that can be shared within your class as an extension of your classroom to boost participation and engagement with your students. Padlet provides a space to upload and share media, comments, files and much more in real-time to accommodate a number of different activity types.

Moodle
Moodle is KPU's primary learning management system that can be used to support face-to-face classes in addition to digital learning environments offered partially or fully online. In Moodle, instructors can share course content, engage students with discussion forums, manage assignments and quizzes, as well as grading.

Simple Syllabus
Simple Syllabus is a tool designed to make syllabus creation more consistent, accurate, and accessible for students. The platform supports faculty as it integrates with some of KPU’s other information system such as course outline (CIM) and scheduling systems (Banner) to auto populate required fields. It also provides links to KPU policies and student support resources. Faculty will enter their own course-specific content prompted by the template.

Zoom
KPU is transitioning to a single conferencing tool for instructional use to ensure a more consistent and streamlined experience. Zoom has been selected as the optimal platform.

Hypothesis is a collaborative annotation tool that aims to increase student engagement, expand reading comprehension, and build critcial-thinking. It's available as a plugin in WordPress and is now integrated with Moodle.

PebblePad is a learning journey platform that helps students collect evidence of their learning and reflect on their experiences to prepare them to articulate what they know and how they know it.

Kaltura
Kaltura is a video management platform for instructors and students to record and share video content. Media is an excellent way to build engagement and share content. It is fully integrated with our LMS (Moodle) and also as a standalone video portal (on media.kpu.ca).

Many H5P activities have been enabled in Moodle to support educators in creating interactive learning elements directly inside Moodle. A self-guided course has been created on how to use H5P, learn more. H5P is also available as a plugin with WordPress.
