The World Before

An epic romantasy where two magical heroes, each scarred by loss, are drawn together by fate to save the world and uncover the secrets of their forgotten pasts.

The World Before is an epic romantasy TV series full of adventure, based on the book of the same name. It begins at the dawn of time, in a world created by seven Supreme Mothers. To protect their sacred land, they birth The Ny, but the Ny turned against them, following their leader Nyrion to devise a plan to destroy the Mothers and the place that was once their home. The series follows the tragic histories of the Mothers, but centers on a world now ruled by humans, where the ruthless King Oremine seeks to obtain the Mothers powers and rule the world. Our heroes are Merlyn, a powerful magic user raised by fairies, and Elsea, who holds a mysterious journal left by her dying father. Both find themselves in the land of Elsewhere, independently searching for answers and vengeance for their destroyed homes. They meet by happenstance and form a friction-filled alliance, embarking on a journey together to stop Nyrion and Oremine, find the truth of their past, and save the magic of the world.
