Number
- Present one clue at a time.
- Have students identify a possibility for the clue and share their thinking with a partner.
- Solicit and record student solutions for the first clue.
- Discuss how each of the solutions relate to the clue.
- Present the next clue. Direct students to identify a new solution or explain why their first solution still satisfies the second clue.
- With the class, eliminate the original numbers that no longer satisfy the two clues.
- Solicit an record new solutions.
- Repeat the process with subsequent clues.
