You know the drill... => No cheating! => Be careful about spelling!
2. Let's Play some games!
1) Please divide into 2 TEAMS. 2) Divide EACH TEAM INTO 2 TEAMS.
We are going to play 2 games: GUESS THE NAME and PICTIONARY. Each sub-team will take turns playing both games.
RULES FOR THE "Guess the name" game
If no one can name the object after 30 seconds, the card can be skipped (= passée). Referees will decide if they grant the point or not, if the pronunciation is incorrect. Remember to use the website "Howjsay" to check out pronunciation!
- 2 players (one player from each team, facing each other). Switch players every 2 min. - 2 referees (one player from each team, switch every 2 min) The referees show a card to the players. The first player who can correctly name the object on the card wins 1 point. => Referees must check the pronunciation!
RULES FOR THE Pictionary game
You are allowed to draw anything, but no writing! You are only allowed to skip (= passer) up to 3 cards in one round.
- One player goes to the whiteboard. - The team sits in front of the whiteboard and watches their player. The player draws a card and has to draw the word that is written on the card. The player's team has to guess the word. The team wins 1 point when they guess the word.
