Building on what Children already know

-Because children are naturaly curious they come in ready to ready to learn even if they dont know it. -In my classroom, I'd always start off with what they already know like asking them if they have any pets or what all animals they know. -Their answers were always funny but, they helped me know where to begin teaching. -By connecting new lessons to what they already understand I can gently correct them and incurage their learning.

Helping kids make Real Connections

-Young children learn best when using hands-on experiences. I slowely noticed that when my lessons would connect to real life experiences they had. They better understood.

Feedback

-In daycare, progress isn't messured by grades. It is seen in moments that the kids share at home, in class, and with you. --Instead of saying things that let the kids know they are struggling. I would try saying things that build them up and let them know im there to help.

Creating Community

-One of the best parts of working in a daycare is the sence of family it builds. The kids looked out for each other, helped clean up, and confrunted friends who were sad. -In my redesign, I'd make that sence of community even stronger.
