Introduction
Thank you for participating in our experiment! The following slides will present information and definitions for the experiment as well as the experiment trial slides. Be sure to play the presentation when viewing to ensure accurate timing of trial slide presentation, and use the accompanying spreadsheet to record answers.
Definitions: Hue
Hue is the “type” of color, or wavelength of light, and is represented in degrees like on a color wheel.
Red = 0º (360º)
Magenta = 300º
Yellow = 60º
Blue = 240º
Green = 120º
Cyan = 180º
Definitions: Saturation
Saturation is the “amount” of color present, or vivid the color is. As saturation decreases, it will shift from “full color” to “colorless” (either gray or white depending on the exact color model or brightness/value number.)

Any given color has its own associated hue, saturation, and brightness values that are independent from each other. Note: Brightness is not relevant in this experiment.

Introduction
Thank you for participating in our experiment! The following slides will present information and definitions for the experiment as well as the experiment trial slides. Be sure to play the presentation when viewing to ensure accurate timing of trial slide presentation, and use the accompanying spreadsheet to record answers.
Definitions: Hue
Hue is the “type” of color, or wavelength of light, and is represented in degrees like on a color wheel.
Red = 0º (360º)
Magenta = 300º
Yellow = 60º
Blue = 240º
Green = 120º
Cyan = 180º
Definitions: Saturation
Saturation is the “amount” of color present, or vivid the color is. As saturation decreases, it will shift from “full color” to “colorless” (either gray or white depending on the exact color model or brightness/value number.)
