    Code Word: Engineering Design Process

Review from last week – Design

    • Convergent thinking is a process that involves finding the best solution to a problem

Think of a multiple choice test where you have four options, but you have to pick the best answer.

Review from last week – Design

    • Divergent thinking is a problem solving approach that encourages multiple ideas.

Review from last week – Design

    • Attribute analysis is a technique to help a designer have many ideas.
    • It begins with thinking about a familiar object and listing the attributes (characteristics) of that object
    • A designer may ask – How can the attributes be changed?

    Brief review

Notes are available in the Virtual Lesson Module if you would like to take notes

What inferences can you make about the design process the students used to create their sneakers?
