What is Cybersecurity? đ€
Cybersecurity, at its core, is doing what we can to protect our devices, data and networks from being accessed by unwelcomed guests that do harm. Below are four things you can do to protect yourself:
- Use strong passwords and password managers
- Turn on multifactor authentication: for work you're already using DUO!
- Recognize and report phishing/suspicious emails
- Update your software: if you see the Dell Command Update window, do it!
Teacher Essential Guide to Cybersecurity
Use a series of Strawbees characters to create a comic-style narrative that educates others about cybersecurity best practices OR complete a design challenge making a character representing your digital footprint + writing a poem about it!
Strawbees
Learn more about the importance of cyber security and explore the need to create strong password before coding your micro:bit to make your own âstrong password generatorâusing the micro:bit
Microbit
Ozobots
Use color coding with the Ozobot Evos to participate in a variety of activities surrounding phishing, digital footprints and overall digital safety including a Cybersecurity Circus!
