Initial Acupuncture Block

These are blocks of time saved on Dr. Thompson's column for Acupuncture consult visits. The purpose of these blocks is to get patients in with Dr. Thompson to determine if they are a good candidate for acupuncture or other alternative therapies.

• These can NOT be moved on the schedule without express permission from Dr. Thompson.
• There are no services performed at this visit.
• We will need to send the new Art of Healing Client form when scheduling these.

Puppy Appt Block

These are blocks of time saved on DVMs column for puppy/kitten visits. The purpose of these blocks is to get patients in with their preferred DVM for puppy and kitten vaccines within their initial series.

• These can be replaced with another appointment type if they are still open the same day

Sick Pet Block

These are blocks of time saved on DVMs column for 'same day sick pets'. The purpose of these blocks is to get clients in with their preferred DVM for issues that are urgent enough to be seen today, with their primary care DVM instead of Urgent Care.

• If a patient does not belong to this DVM already - they should be directed to Urgent Care
• These can be moved in the column to accommodate a multi-pet appointment
• These can be filled if they are still open within a few hours of starting

Acupuncture/Chiropractic Block

These are blocks of time saved on Dr. Thompson or Dr. Zader's column for Acupuncture visits. The purpose of these blocks is to get patients in with their preferred Dr for acupuncture services. Dr. Thompson performs Acupuncture and Chiropractic services Dr. Zader performs only Acupuncture

• These can NOT be moved on the schedule without express permission from a DVM.
• These are only available to current Art of Healing clients

This Week Block

These are blocks of time saved on DVMs and technician columns The purpose of these blocks is to get clients in with their preferred DVM for issues that are not urgent enough for Urgent Care but still need to be seen within the next 7 days.

• These may be used for puppy/kitten vaccines to keep them on schedule
• Technicians have This Week blocks for cytopoint, anal gland expression, etc that could make the pet uncomfortable to wait longer

Urgent Care

These are appointment saved for same day, Urgent Care visits. They are 30 minutes long. The purpose of these appointments is to be able to get patients in when needed, without disrupting the schedules of their primary DVM (or if they don't have one).

• These are ONLY available for same-day appointments
• Dr. Bugonovic (DBO) does NOT offer follow ups for Urgent Care. These should be with any other DVM
• ALL Urgent Care, Drop-off, and Same Day appointments are $100

Technician appointments

These are for technician appointments. They are 30 minutes long. The purpose of these blocks is to get patients in with the technicians for vaccines, librela, cytopoint, bloodwork, etc. Wellness Examination and Rabies vaccines MUST be up to date to qualify. Technicians can NOT administer Rabies

• Technicians also have 'This Week' blocks that should be saved for issues like cytopoint or anal glands, that are not urgent but may be uncomfortable for the pet to wait for the next availabile appointment.

Rehab/hydro/laser appointments

These blocks are for Art of Healing technician appointments. The purpose of these blocks is to get patients in with the Art of Healing technician, Drew. To qualify, the patient must be a current Art of Healing patient with Dr. Thompson or Dr. Zader.

• There are some instances where another DVM will refer a patient to the Art of Healing equipment. These would be:
• Post-surgical laser treatments
• Hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill) for overweight patients

Drop off appointments

These are for drop-off appointments where the client will not be present for the exam/treatment. The purpose of these blocks is to get patients in same-day, and ideally with their primary care DVM. All drop-off appointments are $100

• There are no vaccine requirements for drop-offs, but there are some precautions:
• No new clients or patients
• No agressive or contagious patients
• Limit wellness drop-offs to patients who REALLY need vaccines updated on a timeline (like if they are boarding very soon and can't get in elsewhere)

Scheduling Surgery

These are surgical procedures with a DVM. There is NO deposit required to schedule surgical procedures. They should be scheduled with the patient's primary DVM according to the pre-set blocks for their time. Drop off time is between 7:30 and 9:00 am

• Pets are fasted for 12 hours prior to drop off
• Exceptions are rabbits, exotics, and diabetic pets

Scheduling Specialists

These are Ultrasound and Echocardiogram procedures with SVS imaging. There is NO deposit required to schedule specialists. They will ALL be scheduled at 8:00am for drop off.

• Pets are fasted for 12 hours prior to drop off
• Exceptions are rabbits, exotics, and diabetic pets
• All patients will require gabapentin/trazadone the night before
