Medical Expense LUW

We would would need to make sure client is paying for Medicare Part A or B, both. To ensure client is allowed to be given the deduction.

Medical Expense LUW

We would also need to look at SOLQ to ensure client is not paying for either part A or B Medicare. If the client is on an MEPD part 1 program such as QI-1, SLMB, QMB, and/or both. The state is paying for their medicare premiums. You can double check by checking SOLQ. You would select "Medicaid" under "Medeical Expense Covered By" This would allow the record to be recoginzed by TIERS for MEPD but not count towards the SNAP budget.
