The Story: "Leo's Day in the Trance" "The Tech Trance Virus is trying to make you lose track of time! Let's follow Leo, a student just like you, as he navigates his day. Your mission is to help him break free by figuring out how much recreational screen time he fell into. Only by knowing the numbers can you activate the 'Time Manager' component of your shield. Here's how Leo's afternoon went, once the Trance started to take hold: After school, Leo quickly finished his online homework, which took 30 minutes on his tablet. This was for school, so it doesn't count as recreational. Then, he started watching funny animal videos on his mom's phone. He watched for 40 minutes before dinner. After dinner, he played his favorite online building game with friends for 55 minutes. Just before getting ready for bed, he quickly checked some new posts on his favorite content creator's social media, which took 10 minutes. The digital wellness experts suggest that for 5th graders, a healthy amount of recreational screen time outside of schoolwork is around 2 hours per day. To get the code, you need two numbers: First, calculate Leo's total recreational screen time in minutes. Then, add the single digit that represents the recommended number of hours for recreational screen time for 5th graders (from the expert suggestion above). Combine these two numbers to unlock the puzzle!
