The battlefield was a storm of steel and fire. Sir Cael, knight of the Seventh Banner, had taken a grievous wound to his thigh—a gash from an enemy’s enchanted blade. As he staggered, crimson poured from the wound like a cursed river. The healers of the realm knew: life itself flowed within the body’s sacred six liters of essence—less for the young squires, barely two or three, and for babes, only enough to fill a goblet. To spill it unchecked was to drain the soul itself.

To restore his strength and wield the blade against the fearsome dragon, you must gather the Four Elemental Gems of Healing. Each gem holds the power of a life-saving art: one to staunch the bleeding, one to mend the torn flesh, one to protect the breath of life, and one to guard the spirit against shock. Without them, neither Cael nor our people will survive the terror that stalks the land…”
