This semester, we discussed many study-skills and habits of successful students. Describe a situation where you used one of the skills you learned in class. What was the outcome? I spaced out my study time over a week, and the result was that i was well prepared for my exam. Having a plan that lined out when i was supposed to do something was great change from just doing things at random or when i had a little extra time. i used sticky notes to list the things i needed to acomplish and then set dates and times to do them.

Give some helpful tips to next year’s first year students based on your experiences or perhaps lack of experiences. Find at least two different study spots that work for you. Because they can get reserved and if you dont have a second spot you are left walking around looking for one. Also to stay on top of your work. This will determine how your first semester will go. If you keep up with the work it'll be smooth sailing but if you don't you'll have to spend a long time trying to catch back up.

Think back to the micro-goals you set this semester. Describe the process of setting those goals and whether you accomplished the goals you set. One of my micro goals was to be more productive doing my homework, and I really did improve my productivity. My biggest micro goal though was to save more money, but i needed to relize that didnt mean sacrificing everything. I mainly tried to reduce my everyday costs by buying generic brands and cooking at home.

Describe your experience getting involved on campus. In what ways was it difficult or easy? How did you overcome those difficulties?
In all honesty getting involved on campus was a challenge for a lot of reasons. The most prominant being that I dont live on campus. Most of the events where held either durning my class time or way after i was ready to head home. Now this wouldn't have been a big issue if i lived closer but im a 40 minute drive away. So to over come that i just had to get over the distance and drive to the event if i wanted to go.

What have you leaned about yourself this semester? Ive learned that im more capable of getting things done than i give myself credit for. Also I've gained the confidence to do thingss outside of my comfort zone. The biggest thing though is when i changed my mind set things became more manigable. For example going from "I don't know if i can do this" to saying "I've done this before so i can do it again." Once you believe you can do something actually doing it becomes 10 times easier.

THIS IS ME IN THE UNDERGROUND
This is me doing my homework during my break between classes.
What was your biggest fear coming to college? How did the person pictured support you this semester?
College to me was always painted as this scary place where the professors didnt care about your excuses and was serious all the time. Jo Wilson is my intro to interior desing professor and she is the sweetest lady ever. She proved my previous thoughts about college to be wrong. She is understanding and jokes with us but is also a good teacher and mentor.
