Katy Basques, MSW, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC
Kathryn Perticone, a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a specialization in Addiction Medicine and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry, began her career at Yale-New Haven Hospital. There, she became their first pro-active psychiatric nurse on their consult service. She served at Rush University Medical Center from 2015-2020 as the Co-Director of the Substance Use Intervention Team (SUIT). In this role, she championed early identification of substance use disorders and improved management of withdrawal syndromes. She also served as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Afterward, she spent one year at Cooper Health System in Camden, NJ. As of November 2021, she is set to join the Lifespan Hospital System in Providence, RI to continue her clinical work and advocacy for Harm Reduction policy.

Dr. Colistra, PhD, LPC, CAADC, CCS is the director of behavioral sciences in family medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is a trained professional counselor, certified addiction counselor and clinical supervisor. As the Director of Behavioral Sciences for the Department of Family Medicine, she trains family medicine residents and faculty, works as an integrated behavioral health specialist at an FQHC lookalike, and oversees addiction and behavioral health integration for a Pennsylvania Coordinated Medicated Assisted Treatment (PacMAT) in primary care grant received from Governor Wolf of Pennsylvania. Dr. Colistra is a faculty and committee member for the ASAM Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine (FAME). Her work has been sought out to train interdisciplinary providers nationally and internationally on topics to include addiction and behavioral integration.

Dr. Letcher is a Family Physician and Addiction Medicine Specialist in Allentown, PA. As an advocate for community responsive health systems, she was the founding Medical Director of the area's first Federally Qualified Health Center, developed integrated behavioral health and the first primary care program for medications for opioid use disorder, and community-oriented Project ECHO for OUD. She partners with local community-based organizations to promote Radical Welcome in healthcare, health equity and participatory system change. Dr. Letcher is the Vice Chair of the ASAM Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine Planning Committee.

A graduate of the University of Texas (Austin) and Baylor College of Medicine, J. Paul Seale, MD, FASAM, FAAFP is Professor at the Institute of Public and Preventive Health and the Department of Psychiatry at Augusta University in Augusta, GA (USA). He a clinician researcher with board certification in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine and membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Since completing an NIAAA-NIDA sponsored faculty development fellowship in 1987-1988, he has been involved in practice, teaching and research related to substance use screening, brief intervention, and referral for treatment (SBIRT) for more than three decades in the U.S. and abroad. His involvement for more than decade in full-time global health in Asia and the Americas led to the development of resilience and recovery training programs taught through storytelling which now being used with vulnerable populations across Latin America and Africa.
