ROTATION
The Earth is in the Solar System at a perfect distance from the Sun to have liquid water.The Earth spins on its axis. This is called ROTATION.
One full rotation takes 24 hours. This means that we have days and nights.
REVOLUTION
The Earth orbits the Sun. This movement is called REVOLUTION.
The Earth takes one year to move around the Sun. In fact, 365 days, 6 hours, 9 minutes and 9 seconds. Our calendar only counts 365 days in one year. So, every 4 years, we add February 29. That special year is called LEAP YEAR The Earth´s revolution and tilted axis cause the seasons; spring, summer, autumn and winter.
TIDE
At different times of the day the water in the sea is high or low. This is called TIDETides happen because the Moon and the Sun attract the water on Earth.
