the fact that he is hiding his face makes him anonymous, like Banksy himselfhis portrait is reminiscent of the street or campus riots in the 1960s the flowers are like a projectile (Molotov cocktail or stone used in protest) but here they represent hope (in colour) anger and frustration can be seen in the man’s posture the position of his body represents defiance against oppression The message is "peace, not war" =peaceful resistance

The construction of the West Bank Wall separating Israel from Palestine began in 2002. Banksy returned to the region in 2005 to paint a series of nine provocative works (Santa's Ghetto) supporting freedom and equality.
