TFun Facts
This era is important because it shaped how Earth is right now. The past eras are important because they show the development of Earth, but this one helps create what Earth is currently, and we are still living in the Cenozoic Era.
During this Era, Earth went from having sea ice and warm weather. This climate change allows for a change in biotic communities. For example, Carbon, oxygen, and isotopes change. Once the icehouse condition is established, there a record of glaciers and interglacials.
Living Organism
Living organisms like mammals, birds, reptiles, marine life, and plants were part of the Cenozoic Era. Mammals like saber-toothed cats, giant ground sloths, and rodents Reptiles like turtles, snakes, and lizards. Marine life, like whales and dolphins
Major event
The Paleogene Period started when the Cenozoic Era began. During this event, almost all the land and dinosaurs vanished, even mammals and plants.
- This event is divided into three epochs: Paleocene, Eocene, and Oligocene. Because of this event, humans and mammals started to evolve, and even the movement of continents.
