Uses

  • Instant decisions: I’ll answer the phone.

Be going to + verb

Uses

  • Planned actions: We are going to visit Grandma.
  • Intentions: I’m going to start a diet.
  • Predictions based on evidence: Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain.
