Arte Ellenistica

L'arte ellenistica riguarda il periodo dell'ellenismo, che viene convenzionalmente datato dalla morte di Alessandro Magno alla conquista romana dell'Egitto nel 31 a.C.CCaratteristiche principali Realismo e pathos: si abbandona l’idealizzazione classica per rappresentare emozioni intense, dolore, vecchiaia, deformità, stati d’animo complessi. Dinamismo: le figure sono colte in movimento, con pose spesso teatrali e drammatiche. Individualismo: oltre alle divinità, si raffigurano persone comuni, bambini, anziani, popolani, vincitori di gare sportive.

L’arte classica greca è la fase che si sviluppa tra il V e il IV secolo a.C., cioè dall’età di Peric

Caratteristiche principali Ideale di bellezza: le figure sono armoniose, proporzionate. Non c’è eccessivo realismo, ma un ideale universale. Armonia e misura: equilibrio tra corpo e spirito, tra naturalezza e perfezione formale. Studio del corpo umano: nudo maschile come espressione di perfezione . Ricerca delle proporzioni: applicazione di rapporti matematici ( il “canone” di Policleto). Serenità espressiva: i volti sono pacati, privi di pathos drammatico Innovazioni: nascita del contrapposto (peso del corpo scaricato su una gamba, l’altra flessa), che dà naturalezza alla postura.
