Plan a 1-month trip using the Interrail Pass. You can choose either:

  • 5 different countries, or
  • 1 country with several cities.
If working in pairs:
  • Time to plan: 1 month
  • Presentation length: Each student speaks 3–5 minutes (max 10 minutes total)
  • (You will divide the presentation topics and collaborate on the trip plan.)
If working individually:
  • Time to plan: 15 days
  • Presentation length: 3–5 minutes
  • (You will cover all points on your own in your presentation.)

Justification for your choice

Season of travel

Country/city introductions

Train journeys planningUse the official Interrail website to find actual train schedules. Detail which trains you’ll take, how long each journey lasts, and any transfers. This will help you organize your travel days clearly. Activities & Attractions List the main things you want to do or see in each place. Include museums, tours, parks, or special events that might happen while you’re there. Mention any free tours or interesting local experiences.

AccommodationExplain where you will stay and why you chose that place. Consider the location (close to transport or attractions), price, safety, and comfort. Show that you researched real options. Food & Dining Share the typical local dishes you want to try and suggest where you might eat. This could be popular restaurants, street food, or markets.

Presentation TipsUse visuals (maps, photos, slides) to make your presentation interesting and easier to follow. Practice to keep your presentation within the time limit. Speak clearly and confidently. If working in pairs, split the topics evenly and coordinate your parts Preparation Sessions You will have 2 class sessions to research and prepare your presentation. Use this time to work on your itinerary, research, and rehearse.

example

Describe the season you plan to travel in and why. How does the season affect your experience? For example, summer might mean warm weather and beaches, while winter might offer festive events and traditions.

Give a short overview of each country or city: its location on the map, currency used, the flag, and the main language(s) spoken. This sets context for your audience.

Explain why you chose these specific places. Think about history, culture, geography, or any special theme. For example, maybe you want to visit countries with WWII history, or explore Mediterranean climates, or enjoy famous Christmas markets.
