Options for Minor Victims
Because minors are being increasingly targeted in sextortion schemes, many of the resources that are available to victims of sextortion are targeted to people under 18. Minors who are being threatened with sextortion can report those threats to the CyberTipline, run by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). If their intimate images have been posted, they can use the Take It Down service (also run by NCMEC) to remove those images from the internet.

Info
Reports submitted to the CyberTipline are reviewed to be referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency, and to provide support to the victim. NCMEC advises reporters to expect the following:
1 Review
3 Law Enforcement
2 Contact & Support

How Take It Down Works
Whether or not they decide to make a report, they can also use the Take It Down service, also operated by NCMEC. Take It Down is a free service that can help you remove or stop the online sharing of nude, partially nude, or sexually explicit images or videos taken of you when you were under 18 years old. It does this by assigning a unique digital fingerprint, called a hash value, to the images or videos. Online platforms can use those hash values to detect these images or videos on their public or unencrypted services and take action to remove this content.
If you don’t know where your image is online and don't have a link to make a report above, but you are worried it is out there, Take It Down can be a helpful tool. Take It Down users can remain anonymous.
