How were the planets created?
Planets were created 13.7 billion years ago after the Big Bang theory. After the Big Bang a cloud of gas and dust called nebula and a shock wave from nearby called supernova orbited very fast a young star and created the planetesimals. Most planetesimals got together and transformed into protoplanets. Protoplanets became planets and that's how the solar system evolved. Now the Sun's gravity leaves planets in orbit.

The biggest and the smallest planet of the solar system?
Mercury is the smallest planet of the solar system.Mercury is a rocky planet and the diameter of Mercury is 4,880 km. Jupiter is the biggest planet of the solar system.Jupiter is a gas planet and the diameter of Jupiter is 142,800 km.

Which are the hottest and the coldest planets of the solar system?
Venus is the hottest planet of the solar system. The temperature of Venus is 482°C. Neptune is the coldest planet of the solar system. The temperature of Neptune is -218°C.

How do the planets orbit the Sun and how long they take?
Mercury:88 days Venus:225 days Earth:365 days Mars:687 days Jupiter:12 years Saturn:29 years Uranus:84 years Neptune:165 years
The planets orbit the Sun because of its gravity, which pulls into a orbit curved.
