7.QUIZ!!!

1.How was the solar system created?

The Solar System was formed naturally about 13.6 billion years ago. It originated from a cloud of gas and dust that collapsed. The cloud turned in to a disc called a Solar Nebula, forming the Sun and other material around it like: the planets, moons, comets and asteroids.

2.Why is Pluto not a planet anymore?

Pluto was considerated a planet until 2006. A planet to be a planet has to: - orbit the Sun - be large enough for its gravity to make it into a round shape - be big enough to clear its orbit.

3.What is the asteroid belt and where is it?

The asteroid belt is a doughnut-shape area in the solar system, located in between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. It is separating the inner planets (Mercury,Venus,Earth and Mars) from the outer planets(Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus and Neptune).

The asteroid belt contains millions of rocky, metallic, and icy bodies called asteroids. The mass of the asteroid belt is less than that of Earth's moon. Spacecraft can safely pass through it. The asteroid belt contains the leftover material from the solar system's formation.

4.What is the temperature in space?

There is no straightforward answer. What we know is that temperature can vary a lot in space. If you are close to a star the temperature will rise. However, if its an old star with little radiation the temperature is lower. We know that the averdje temperature is approximately -270.45 .Celsius.

6.How many rings does Saturn have and why?

The question is not easy to answer. Saturn has more than a dozen rings. And centists are trying to discover more about Saturn's rings like NASA's Cassini*.

Saturn has rings because an icy object ,moon or comet flew to saturn. With space's gravity after getting too close, or possibly due to a collision with another moon. The result spreads out in orbit, forming the planet's famous rings.

How long ago was the solar system formed?

Thank you for your attention!

Any question hand in the air.
Why is space so cold?
Space is so cold because it's mostly a vacuum, meaning there's no air to transfer heat through conduction or convection.
