Groupe Atlantic has just launched a strategic project called ‘Horizon 2030’, but the project team has abruptly resigned, leaving elements incomplete or unusable. Your team has been called in as an ‘AI task force’ to save the project. Your mission: using all AI assistants of your choice (ChatGPT, Copilot or other) you must complete eight challenges within a limited time (45 minutes). To get a better understanding of the project, start by consulting the project presentation displayed on the board...

Planned schedule for 2026
Based on the available project information, create a clear and realistic provisional schedule in the form of a table or timeline. Here is the planned programme: Migration to a modern cloud architecture based on microservices and Kubernetes A DevOps methodology to accelerate development and continuous integration cycles The use of automation tools for testing and deployment A commitment to ensuring reliability, scalability and adaptability The goal is to prepare for full deployment in Q4 2026.
📌 Main tasks to be planned: 1. Needs analysis 2. Definition of deliverables 3. Technical and functional design 4. Component development 5. Testing and acceptance 6. Deployment
Present the results to your game master before moving on to the next step. Once you're done, you can leave the project office to celebrate with your colleagues!

HR data analysis
When you resume the abandoned project, you discover an Excel file named Roadmap_vFinal_v2_bis. All the tasks are listed there, but the ‘Expected completion date’ column is empty. A post-it note stuck to the screen of the missing project manager reads: “Each task begins on the specified start date. Standard tasks must be completed within 15 working days. Critical milestones must be completed within 7 working days. Weekends and public holidays do not count. Public holidays are listed in the ‘Public Holidays’ tab.”
Check with the game master to ensure everything is correct before proceeding to the next step.

What you have: Column A: Task name Column B: Start date Column C: Planned duration (empty) Column D: Critical milestone? (Y/N) Column E: Planned end date (to be calculated) ‘Public holidays’ tab: list of public holidays in the country.
Your mission: Use AI to obtain the Excel formula that: - Adds 7 working days if the task is a critical milestone. - Adds 15 working days otherwise. - Ignores weekends and public holidays listed in the Holidays tab. Apply the formula to all rows. Identify the closest end date among the critical milestones.
The door is locked. We must therefore find a code to unlock it. AI won’t help me here but our powers of observation will.
A Teams meeting with project partners is starting. You forget to take notes and you are committed to sending a report to the participants. The only content you have at your disposal is the transcript of the discussions.

Presentation
With this in mind, the project incorporates a comprehensive DevOps approach to strengthen collaboration between development and operations teams, make production processes more reliable, and accelerate the delivery of new features through fully automated CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipelines. Automation, which is at the heart of the project, also covers system monitoring, incident management, quality control, version documentation, and the provisioning of test and production environments. From a methodological point of view, Horizon 2030 is based on agile governance in short cycles (such as Scrum), favouring continuous adjustments in line with user feedback and changing business needs. Furthermore, the project is designed with digital responsibility and technological sobriety in mind. This includes taking environmental impacts into account from the design phase onwards, optimising the energy efficiency of cloud infrastructures, reducing technical debt, and adopting best practices in sustainable software development. One of the secondary, but no less important, objectives is to guarantee the accessibility, security, and portability of digital services in the long term. All of these dimensions converge towards a common ambition: to provide the organisation with a solid, adaptable technological foundation that respects societal constraints, while offering a better experience for end users and promoting continuous innovation. Finally, the Horizon 2030 project is also a lever for driving change, supporting the upskilling of teams, the dissemination of a DevOps culture, and the implementation of a shared technical governance framework.
Horizon 2030 project
The Horizon 2030 project is a major strategic digital transformation initiative within our organisation. It was designed to address the growing challenges of agility, performance, scalability and sustainability faced by IT infrastructures in a context of continuous transformation of the uses and expectations of both internal and external users. The main objective is to design, develop and deploy a robust, flexible and scalable technology infrastructure based on microservices architecture principles and hosted in a hybrid cloud environment, combining the advantages of public and private clouds. This architecture will not only enable better resource allocation and cost optimisation, but also intelligent load management and increased resilience to outages or peaks in activity. The use of Kubernetes as a container orchestrator aims to automate the management of application services, particularly in terms of deployment, scaling, restarting and fault tolerance.
You must find a sponsor for the project. Prepare a pitch to your sponsor. Keep in mind that he/she doesn’t have any technical knowledge. Once you have prepared your pitch, call a game master to validate your presentation and move on to the next step.
