Le changement climatique découle du changement de la composition chimique de l'atmosphère dû à nos émissions de gaz à effet de serre (CO2, CH4 etc). Se traduit par un hausse de la température :+ 1°C depuis les années 70 alors que durant les époques géologiques précédentes +1°C pour mille ans La COP 21 (2015) a abouti à l’accord de Paris , dont l’objectif est de maintenir l’augmentation des températures mondiales bien en dessous de 2°C et si possible 1,5°C, par rapport aux niveaux dits « préindustriels »
