Sovereignty

The easiest way to explain sovereignty, is the autonomy and freedom of the countries to decide over them, without other countries interfering in their internal decisions, this also works for the outside relations with other countries in a diplomatic manner.

Territory

For territory, many people think that territory is only what we have as physical terrain, even tho this is a very important element of the state because it contains aerial and maritime territory in which basically the geographical area in which a country can make decisions and actions. Trrritory marks authority and its jurisdiction.

Jurisdiction

Jurisdiction as an element of the State is in charge of the following areas:

  • Administrate justice
  • Solve conflicts
  • Apply the law
  • Guarantee rights

Importance::

We strongly believe that elements of the state are fundamental to apply the law, also legal security is needed in a population where they all need to know the boundaries of the law and what is the easiest and best way to apply it .

Sovereignty guarantees the supremacy of the state itself .

A government is needed to make a social structure

With no population or territory, there's no political scheme .

We really don't think these elements should change, actually what we believe at least in the context of the country we live in, is that they all need to be effectively applied, because it's not worth having them if they're not applied correctly.

How do you think that those elements should change in order to have a better government in the future?

Conclusions

Elements of the state are fundamental to understand how states work, not only internally but externally too. Also, it is very interesting to analyze them in an international class, because in Mexico they are similar but they are more concrete, not as general like in the case of international law..

Thank you!

Visual content is a cross-cutting, universal language, like music. We are capable of understanding images from millions of years ago, even from other cultures. We don't like to bore. We don't want to be repetitive. Communicating in the same way is boring and doesn't engage. We do it differently. We sabotage boredom. We create what the brain likes to consume because it stimulates it.
