We use possessive adjectives to show something belongs to somebody:

We also use possessive adjectives...

• For relations and friends:

My mother is a doctor. How old is your sister?

• For parts of the body:

He's broken his arm.I need to clean my teeth.

IMPORTANT!

They are different from pronouns:

This is my book. (adjective)This book is mine. (pronoun)

BE CAREFUL!

Don't use apostrophe

It = Its (possessive adjective)It's = It is (subject + verb to be)
