THE HUMAN BODY

LET'S GO!

LIVING THINGS

Living things are born, grow, reproduce and die. Living things need air, water, food and sunlight.

LIVING THINGS

Living things carry out the three vital functions: nutrition, interaction and reproduction.

  • NUTRITION: Living things feed and breath to obtain energy.
  • INTERACTION: Living things interact with the environment.
  • REPRODUCTION: Living things can make other living things.

NUTRITION

Four systems participate in nutrition.
  1. The digestive system: transforms food into nutrients.
  2. The respiratory system: gets oxygen from the air.
  3. The circulatory system: transports nutrients and oxygen.
  4. The excretory system: eliminates waste.
