Living things carry out the three vital functions: nutrition, interaction and reproduction.
- NUTRITION: Living things feed and breath to obtain energy.
- INTERACTION: Living things interact with the environment.
- REPRODUCTION: Living things can make other living things.
NUTRITION
Four systems participate in nutrition.
- The digestive system: transforms food into nutrients.
- The respiratory system: gets oxygen from the air.
- The circulatory system: transports nutrients and oxygen.
- The excretory system: eliminates waste.

INTERACTION
The 5 senses give us information about the environment. The brain processes the information and gives a command to the body. Musculoskeletal system: the body responds by moving our bones and muscles.

- Bones are hard and rigid.
- Bones protect our organs.
- Bones give shape to our body.
- Muscles are soft and flexible.
- Muscles can contract and relax.
REPRODUCTION
Living things can make new living things similar to them.

Male and female reproductive organs are different.
healthy habits
- Hygiene: keep your body clean.
- Rest: sleep 10 hours a day.
- Exercise: do some exercise daily.
- Diet: keep a healthy diet.
- Water: drink water every day.
- Nature: do outdoor activities.
