Centaurs vs Athenians
This sculpture is from the Parthenon in Athens dedicated to Athena and was later used to show culture, and identity. This also shows events that happened as the Athenians were in a fight with the Centaurs (humans with a horse body), this highlights the struggle between savages in this case the Centaurs vs the civilized (Athenians). This sculpture was made some time between 447 BCE and 432 BCE, this time was known as the classical period
module Classical Greek art expresses a culture value, identity or event historic events through sculptures an example is this sculpture of the centaurs vs lapith another is a statue of Kouros which shows the naturalistic elements the Greeks displayed in their art during the classical periods

To connect this to the reading on the standard of goodness by Aristotle, it shows why during the classical period a lot of realism was used to show the human anatomy as the greeks learned to embrace the human body as a form of natures art, Aristoltle was implyign that nature set a standard and created humans and from what he could see the art of humans wasn't close
