Mount Misen

If you love nature, one thing to do in Miyajima is to climb Mount Misen, which is the highest mountain on the island. Its peak rises 535 meters above sea level, so from above you can enjoy wonderful views of Miyajima itself, the Seto Inland Sea and the islands that dot it and, with luck, the city of Hiroshima itself. There are three hiking trails set up by Mount Misen, which will lead you to discover several Buddhist temples and viewpoints. To get an idea, you can check the map on the official website here.
