USE

- to talk about general truths or laws of nature

How to create sentences in Present Simple?

Rules for 3rd person singular: He She/ It

most verbs add -s to the short inifnitive: ask - asks; learn - learns

verbs ending in -y preceded by a vowel, add -s: play - plays

verbs ending in -y preceded by a consonant, change -y into ie + s: identify - identifies, try - tries

Uses of Present Continuous

1. to express an action whis is in progress at the moment of speaking: The sun is shining in the sky now. 2. to express a temporary/ untypical action: We usually go to work by bus, but today we are going by cab. 3. to express future arrangements (!must mention the time of the action): Our friends are coming tomorrow from Paris.
