FLIPPED CLASSROOM

Let´s flip our classes!

In a nutshell, the FLIPPED CLASSROOM consists on sending THEORY as HOMEWORK and bringing HOMEWORK to the class. Remember that your usual homework would take you some time. Watching a video and taking notes from it does take time as well. Getting ready to present those notes in front of an audience is a LIFE SKILL. Use as many views as you need to understand this lesson: if it´s too easy, you can fast forward to find the next step. If, on the other hand, it is too difficult, you can always go back and watch the explanation again. Or write down your questions for the class!

INTRODUCTION TO YOUR GRAMMAR

INTRO: UNIT 1

  • This unit is about present, past and future VERB TENSES.
  • It is a REVIEW unit, which means that you should have already learnt most of these contents during your ESO years.
  • Here you can find a summarized poster with the most important aspects of this unit´s grammar:

instructions FOR YOUR WORK

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

PAPER. Take down notes on this unit´s grammar that you will give to your teacher on the due date. They must contain: all the tenses AND their uses! Add your doubts and questions!

PRESENTATION. On GRAMMAR REVIEW DAYS, your teacher will call out some names and you will have to briefly present the topic. Classmates will ask doubts that you can answer (your teacher can help out with those!).

MATERIAL. You will find CHALLENGE or BASIC support material. Challenge material will usually include explanations in English and Basic material in Spanish for those students who are looking for a deeper clarification. Use the level that suits you!

basic material: the present

PRESENT SIMPLE VS. PRESENT CONTINUOUS

basic i: past tenses (a)

In this video, the presenters also intruduce the FUTURE PERFECT and the FUTURE CONTINUOUS, which are part of our 2nd unit, so you DO NOT HAVE TO take notes about them (or DO and you are ready for unit 2 as well!)
