Language skills are a necessity and a right for EVERYONE – that is one of the main messages of the European Day of Languages.

Language learning benefits all ages — even knowing a few words can help you connect with others and enjoy new opportunities.

The aim is to promote Europe’s rich linguistic diversity, encourage learning of a wider range of languages, and support multilingualism for active democratic participation.
