Plants react to the environment.

Roots grow in soil that has enough water to sustain the roots and the plant.

• Climbing plants grow around other plants or objects.
• Some plants have delicate leaves that close when touched.
• Some owers close to trap insects

• Plants’ stems grow towards light.
• Sometimes they bend and twist to reach the light.
• Some leaves and flowers move slowly to follow the Sun.
