Willow’s Decision:

A Story About Peer Pressure

Willow’s Decision

Willow is a young adult living in the village of Kindgrove. One afternoon, while preparing to attend her wellness group, a peer named Rowan approaches her and says, “Let’s skip group today and hang out by the lake. It’ll be way more fun.” Willow feels torn—she wants to be liked, but she also knows group helps her stay on track.

How to Say No!

Activity Time!

You’re outside during break. A peer offers you a cigarette and says, “Come on, just one. Everyone else is doing it.” How do you respond?
A peer starts talking badly about another person in the group and says, “You should say something too. Don’t you agree?” How do you respond?
A peer asks you to share something personal about another client, saying, “It’s not a big deal. I won’t tell anyone.” How do you respond?
You’re asked to help clean up a mess in the common area. A peer says, “Don’t do it. That’s staff’s job.” How do you respond?
You share your opinion in group, and a peer says, “That’s dumb. You should think like me.” How do you respond?

You know a presentation is WOW when you grab the attention of your audience and everyone absorbs the information.

Genially

A presentation is NOT WOW when it is boring and you see that the drowsiness takes over your audience because no one understood anything.

Genially

When you make a WOW presentation you turn interactivity and animation into allies and you only hear applause.
