Office / Campus hours: I teach here every day and you can usually find me at building 425 (except on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons).

Me as a teacher...

👩 Emma PILLARD (emma.pillard@universite-paris-saclay.fr) 🇫🇷 (my Dad) // 🇺🇸 (my Mom) English teacher at the School of STAPS of Paris-Saclay University since September 2021. I used to be a student here myself! 👩‍🏫 I am also the F2S head teacher of English (coordinatrice de l'enseignement "Anglais") and I handle the organization of certifications for the F2S (référente certification anglais pour la F2S).

and as an "athlete"...

💃 2 years of dancing // 🏉 2 years of rugby 🐴 My favorite sport (yes, it is a sport!): 23 years of horse riding! Both as a leisure and competitive rider. I have had my Galop 5 since 2010.

1) Pretty easy!

a) TRUE (I have 2 passports: French and American) b) FALSE (I have been a teacher for 5 years total, but it's only my 3rd year at the F2S!) c) FALSE (I officially have my Galop 5, but I am preparing my Galop 7.)

2) A little more difficult

a) Université Paris-Saclay (I studied at ENS Paris-Saclay). b) When I was in middle school (dancing) and high school (rugby). c) I am usually on campus, at building 425, on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

3) Tricky?

a) TRUE (I am a very chill person and I like to stay cozy at home!) b) I tried boxing and wrestling when I was in high school but quit very fast because I really didn't enjoy it! c) I practice dressage, showjumping (= CSO) and eventing (= cross) and this year I will probably try hunt seat (= hunter).

Take a certification - Les certifications en anglais (L1 à Master)

We offer 2 certifications here at the F2S (TOEIC / Linguaskill). You may take one of them for free when you will be in L3!

About certifications

La certification n'est pas une obligation, mais nous vous recommandons fortement d'en passer une pendant votre cursus à la F2S. D'autant plus si vous souhaitez partir étudier à l'étranger : on vous demandera sûrement une certification dans votre université d'accueil !

Les certifications proposées à la F2S : TOEIC / Linguaskill

La certification est gratuite pour nos étudiants de L3 ! Pour les autres étudiants, possibilité de la passer pour une quarantaine d'euros sur présentation d'une carte d'étudiant.

The game of "Two at a time"

In groups of 3 students: Student 1 ---> Student 2 <--- Student 3

  • Student 1 and Student 3 whisper in Student 2's ear a fun anecdote / fact about themselves.
=> Student 2 has to focus on both stories, then repeats what he has understood.
  • Level 1 : Students 1 and 3 speak in French
  • Level 2 : Students 1 and 3 speak in English
  • Level 3 : Student 1 speaks in French / Student 3 speaks in English
