LYSANDRE IS ACTUALLY ALIVE FOR POKÉMON LEGENDS Z-A

a popular theory within the community presented to you by MUFFS with a goofy slideshow :)

I do not recommend this video to anyone who is not already familiar with the Pokémon universe and the X-Y games, as I will not explain everything from scratch.thank you and let's begin :)

WHAT EXACLTY HAPPENED?

• During the X and Y games released in 2013, as we go through the main story, we're met with an organization that goes by the name Team Flare in many instances.
• Their leader, Lysandre, makes it known that his final goal is to use the Ultimate Weapon, powered by Xerneas or Yveltal, depending on what version of the game you are playing, to eliminate everyone besides him and his followers to create a perfect, beautiful world.

• His worldview is flawed, cruel, twisted, and, in my personal opinion, even though I really like Team Flare and Lysandre as villains, their decision to use the Ultimate Weapon was... dumb to say the least.

so we are all on the same page...

LYSANDRE & TEAM FLARE

ULTIMATE WEAPON

(Previously used in what we know as a war that happened in Kalos thousands of years ago)

AND THEN WHAT???

• Towards the end of the game, when we have our final Pokémon fight against Lysandre, he fails to use the Ultimate Weapon in the way he originally intended because we, the protagonist, put a stop to Team Flare and their wrongdoings once and for all, leading to the collapse of Team Flare's hideout and Lysandre being crushed by its remains.
• It is implied that Lysandre died right then and there, but this theory that I am about to present to you says otherwise. So, why do I think that Lysandre is alive?

AND JUST TO BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR...

I'M ONLY TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE X-Y GAMES!

WELL... LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT AZ

• What does AZ have to do with Lysandre, you ask? Both gained access to the Ultimate Weapon in different eras, if that's how I can put it, but were actively exposed to and interacted with its power.
• It is said that AZ and his partner Floette became immortal beings due to their initial use of the Ultimate Weapon, so what if Lysandre, by his regular contact with the Ultimate Weapon and eventual use, also became an immortal human? Just like AZ!
• Also, Lysandre is mentioned as a descendant of AZ's brother in the games, whom we have never met.

and now, with the release of LEGENDS Z-A...

We see that Mabel, a now former Team Flare member, has seemingly left behind her troublesome past and, of course, suffered no serious repercussions from the collapse of the Team Flare headquarters! She is now pursuing a professional career as a teacher and Pokémon researcher.

and we were introduced to... VINNIE

• VINNIE is the secretary of Quasartico Inc.'s CEO, Jett.
• As of the recording of this video, we do not have any other relevant information about him, so why do I care about this character so much, even though the game is about to be released and we don't know what the story of LEGENDS Z-A will be?
• Well, first things first, let us take a look at his character design and how his shape language has many similarities to how Lysandre's character design was brought to life!

What am I trying to imply with all of this? Vinnie is actually Lysandre, who became an immortal human, just like AZ, once the Ultimate Weapon collapsed along with Team Flare's hideout and is now using a different identity to live.

but... what if I'm wrong?

• It's okay, this is just a theory.
• The game is coming out 24 hours after the release of this video, and, despite all of the controversial practices and decisions Nintendo and the Pokémon franchise have had in the last few years, I'll keep an open mind while playing this game and see if this video ends up being one of my dumbest decisions to date or if I'll end up being correct.
• Even if I end up being wrong, I'll do my best to come out with a review of Legends Z-A and do my own critical appreciation of the game!

I could also see the possibility of Vinnie being part of Lysandre's family, a descendant of Lysandre, and, just like many other content creators and Pokémon fans have theorized, Lysandre could still be alive but not using a separate identity, hidden from society and covered up by Vinnie's connections with Quasartico Inc.

OR *MAYBE* WE ARE ALL JUST BEING MEAN TO VINNIE AND HE WILL BE A GOOD PERSON WHO IS COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO LYSANDRE OR ANY TYPE OF VILLAINOUS CONDUCT WITHIN LUMIOSE CITY.
