Held annually, International Fraud Awareness Week (IFAW) was established by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) as a dedicated time to raise awareness about fraud. "This week-long campaign encourages all of us to proactively take steps to identify fraud risks and concerns by promoting anti-fraud awareness and education," according to the ACFE. VNA's Internal Control Department in coordination with Compliance is proud to promote this unique event.
"We take the issue of fraud very seriously at VNA. Our Internal Control team is committed to continuously evaluating our control environment and to communicating with our employees about risks and best practices on a regular basis," said Deshay Milas, VP Internal Control. "We need to make sure we're remaining vigilant at all times, though, not just during this once-a-year campaign."
