We can change the color of our words. There are many colors to choose from! We can use different colors to make our titles stand out from the rest of our writing.

This tool helps us make our letters bigger or smaller. For example, make titles big and regular text smaller so the document looks organized.

We can change how our text looks by choosing different types of letters. Some fonts are fancy and others are fun. It's important that they are easy to read!

These options help us highlight important words. For example, Bold makes letters thick and strong. Italic makes letters lean to the side.

Tables

This tool helps us organize information in two ways: •Bullet points: use symbols like circles or squares to make lists. • Numbering: uses numbers or letters to put things in order.

This tool lets us put photos and different types of pictures in our documents. Pictures make our work more colorful.

This helps us choose where we want our words to go:

  • On the left (where we normally write).
  • In the center.
  • On the right.

Tables let us organize information in rows and columns. They are useful for making schedules, showing data with numbers, or comparing information.

Examples of word processors

Some word processors are installed on devices and others can be used directly from a web browser. Here are some examples: • Microsoft Word: is one of the best known and most used in the world. • Google Docs: works on the web and we can easily share documents with others. • Notepad: is a very simple word processor included in Windows. • Pages: is the word processor for Mac computers.

What can we do with a word processor?

With a word processor we can: • Write words and sentences. • Change the color and size of text. • Add pictures to our writing. • Fix mistakes easily. • Save our work to look at later. • Print our documents on paper.

What is a word processor?

A word processor is a program that helps us write and make attractive documents. This program has many tools to make our text better, work with pictures, lists, tables, and more.

Digital document formats

Documents are saved in different formats or types of files. The most common ones are: DOC, DOCX, PDF, and TXT.

What is a digital document?

A digital document is like having a sheet of paper inside a computer, tablet, or phone. Instead of writing with a pencil on paper, we write using the keyboard. Digital documents can have text, lists, pictures, tables, and other things.

Uses of digital documents

Documents are very helpful in our daily lives. Let's discover some uses: • They help us do schoolwork like reports, projects, and homework. • We can write stories and add pictures to show what happens. • We can make invitations for a birthday party. • Our parents use them to make many documents for their work.
