Housekeeping
Please wear your lanyard at all times. These need to be returned to a
member of Police Now staff at the end of the event.
Cloakroom and toilets are located on the lower ground floor, accessible via the staircase or the lift.
In the event of an emergency, please follow the emergency exit signs to
leave the building, and gather at the Jubilee Square, outside the Kensington Central Library.
Please remember that the location of this event is strictly confidential in
order to ensure the safety of everyone on site

Guest Speaker Biography
Chief Inspector Chris Rutter - Hertfordshire Constabulary
Chris’s policing career began when he joined Hertfordshire Constabulary as a Police Constable in 2017 via the Police Now National Graduate Leadership Programme after studying Languages at the University of Cambridge.
After successfully completing the Police Now Academy, Chris was a Police Constable in the Broxbourne Neighbourhood Team. In 2019, Chris became an Acting Police Sergeant as a Police Now Syndicate Lead, training and supporting participants at the National Graduate Leadership Programme Cohort 5 Academy. Following his Police Now secondment he successfully commenced on the Fast Track to Inspector Scheme, working as a Police Sergeant on Response Policing, Custody and Deputy Force Incident Manager. In 2021, Chris graduated from the Fast Track Scheme and worked as a Response Inspector. The following year Chris worked as an Initial Tactical Firearms Commander in the Force Incident Manager role. In 2024 Chris was promoted to Temporary Chief Inspector within Workforce Development, within this role he also holds strategic oversight of the Police Now Neighbourhood programme. Chris is also a Negotiator Coordinator accredited in Counter Terrorism, Kidnap & Extortion, and Hostage and Crisis negotiations.
