Conclusions

Outcomes: As students were practicing with the multiple task platform, they felt even more motivated to be actively participating in class. As they felt more secure and according to the twenty interviews in Spanish, students felt vocabulary retention as a positive change in vocabulary learning, a better understanding of new legal terms and ability to infer new words in a legal context. Drawbacks: Two out of the twenty students expressed negative emotions due the lack of time to complete the activities as they felt under pressure as they did not know how to complete some of the tasks. They considered the instructions in the platform were not clear enough, which made students felt nervous and desperate with three activities as they commented on the interviews, the activities they could not catch quite well were: dictation game, riddle and the roulette of words. Students expressed discontent due to the difficulty of the tasks and so little time to solve the activities.

Preferences: Students who could not get the instructions within the Educaplay platform stated a predilection for the app called “Duolingo” as they considered this app easier to handle. Nevertheless, they quickly recognize how those activities from Duolingo were easier compared to the ones in Educaplay, which represented a higher English level.
