Primary school (Years 1–8) is for children aged 5 to 12 followed by secondary school (Years 9–13) for those aged 13 to 18.

Public schools are free for people who live there. Private schools cost money but often have special facilities, like in France.

Typical hours are from 9 a.m to 3 p.m, with a lunch break from 12 to 1p.m . Classes are usually between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
