Course management

From the right sidebar of the course, you can... Create student groups for assignments, generate reports, Manage the question bank, gmanage course files, calify, View the calendar (upcoming events and recent activity), etc.
Additionally, there is a contextual top menu for each course:

Activate editing mode on the top right side:

What type of content can be added?

A window will open to select the resource or activity:

File: view next page. Folder: used to share a large number of documents with students without linking them individually. Label: within topics, you can separate different activities using tags. You can add content to this resource such as text, image, or embedded video. Google Meet: create Google video conferences within a course. Kaltura Video Resource: to add videos to courses using the Kaltura video management tool. Book: allows creating pages with a content index within the platform in HTML format. Page: allows creating a webpage (with text, images, videos, etc.) using the Aula Global text editor. URL: used to link to external internet resources.

In Aula Global, a file is any type of document uploaded to a course.

There are several ways to upload them:

  • Upload documents by dragging them into a course.
  • Configure from the "File" resource.
  • Upload documents from "My files".
  • Upload (not link) documents from an external repository (e.g., Google Drive) or via URL downloader.

There are many types of activities, click on the icons with the question mark to learn more about the most common ones. If you want to see all of them, select the bottom button "+ info".

We highlight these two tools:

Grader report: to view and modify the grades for each student. Gradebook setup: to organise and weight the various grades of a course's activities.

Where are they?

In the top menu of the course, select "Grades".

How do students view the course

To view a course as a student, you need to access the profile and change the role to "student". To log out, select "return to my normal role".

From the course to which you want to add content, select "import" in the administration menu.

Select in the list the course from which you want to import the content.

Check the items to import.

You will see all sections, resources, and activities to be imported.

Click on “Perform the import”.

A summary screen of the process will appear with the message “Import complete”. Press continue to finish.
