What Does This mean at UMAE?
Ultimate Medical Academy Education, Inc. (UMAE) hosts a number of events throughout the year in an effort to recognize cultures and identities that enrich our society and help UMAE achieve its mission. We encourage you to check your email reguarly for invitations to these events.
Wellness Statement

Regulatory Bodies
The Regulatory Triad In traditional higher education, accreditors, state agencies, and federal agencies provide regulatory oversight and are sometimes referred to as the “Triad”. Many of UMA Education, Inc.’s activities are guided by one or more of these bodies. The next slides will review this information.

- ABHES (Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) – an accrediting agency by which Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) and American Institute (AI) are institutionally accredited.”

- A federal agency that recognizes ABHES’ institutional accreditation of UMA and AI. This recognition is one factor that allows UMA and AI students access to federal student aid, if they qualify.

State Agencies
- The West Hartford main campus is authorized to offer both residential and distance education by the State of Connecticut, Office of Higher Education, and by the State of Connecticut Rehabilitation Commission.
- The New Jersey locations of Cherry Hill, Lexington Ave-Clifton, Main Ave-Clifton, Somerset, and Toms River are authorized to offer both residential and distance education by the State of New Jersey Department of Education.
- All programs at the Cherry Hill, NJ location are registered by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.
- The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at the Toms River, NJ location is registered by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.
