Once upon a time lived a girl called Little Red. Her Mum told her to visit Grandma who wasn’t well in bed. “Take this yummy cake to her. It will really make her day.” But before Red could make it, a fearsome wolf stepped in the way. “I’m off to see my Grandma” she said with a skip and a hop. The wolf thought up a cunning plan but Little Red didn’t stop. Now most children would be full of fear. But not Little Red let’s give her a cheer! Hip Hip Hooray!

So, the wolf dashed off to Grandma’s cottage, gobbled her up with hungry eyes. Then as quick as a flash he made a dash and dressed up in disguise. He jumped into Grandma’s bed and waited for a knock on the door. Little Red was coming closer, so he pretended to snore. Now most children would be full of fear. But not Little Red let’s give her a cheer! Hip Hip Hooray!

Soon, Little Red arrived and through the window she did peep. She saw the big bad wolf disguised and knew he wasn’t asleep. She too had a plan! She opened the door and tiptoed towards the bed. She was as brave as any lion. She could see the wolf ahead. “Oh, Grandma what big ears you have!” and the wolf began to speak. In Grandma’s voice he replied, “All the better to hear you with my sweet.” “Oh, Grandma what big eyes you have!” she spoke with such surprise. And the wolf responded, “All the better to see you with my beautiful prize.” “Oh, Grandma what big teeth you have!” she said with all her might. “All the better to eat you with!” growled the wolf as he tried to bite!

Suddenly, she took an axe from her cloak, cut open the wolf and out Grandma poked! The big, bad wolf ran off in pain and it was never ever seen again! Now most children would be full of fear. But not Little Red let’s give her a cheer. Now most children would be full of fear. But not Little Red let’s give her a cheer. Hip Hip Hooray!
