Scenario - 1
What factors/events could risk re-traumatizing survivors in a DR process?
You are about to have your first meeting with survivors during an assessment. The goal is to understand their experiences, what they hope to achieve through the process, and their expected outcomes. A local GBV expert has already collected the basics of the incidents, so you don’t need to probe into details, but you will be asking sensitive questions that you need to unpack, especially regarding the expected outcome for the process so you can help them decide whether DR or C is a better fit. The GBV expert has emphasized that the survivors are very traumatized and vulnerable.

What factors/events could imapct maintaining confidentiality in a DR process?
The survivors are fearful and want to remain anonymous. They are concerned that the company or IFC might learn their identities or any details that could make them identifiable during the assessment. Their main questions are: Who will have access to the information they share with the assessment team? and What information will the CAO disclose to different stakeholders (e.g., the company, IFC, other community members)?
