Dear Manor Oaks School Families and Students, As we continue to empower our young leaders by sharing Stephen Coveys’ Leader In Me philosophy and the 8 Habits of Happy Kids, we are excited to continue our “Lighthouse Leadership” program. The “Lighthouse Leadership” program ensures that each child sees and recognizes his/her own potential as a leader and has the opportunity to “tap into” his/her own leadership skill(s). As young leaders, students will become more active, engaged partners in the school community, build their self confidence, and become more responsible. Through this student job initiative, they will also learn to listen to new ideas, work together to achieve results, and motivate one another to do their best for the school community and peers. The Manor Oaks Student Council created the “Lighthouse Leadership” program with leadership/job opportunities for students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. Today all students attended an assembly to learn about the leadership opportunities at Manor Oaks. On the next pages, you will find the jobs with the employment dates and descriptions. Job applications are in your child's folder. Also, be sure to check out the Happy Habits Link on the Manor Oaks Website (https://sites.google.com/nhp-gcp.org/leaderinme/home) and your child's Lighthouse Leaders Google Classroom. All job applications are due to Miss Sciarrotto and the Student Council by Thursday, September 25th.
