Il y a très longtemps, en Angleterre, deux familles puissantes se disputaient le trône du roi. Ces familles s’appelaient les York et les Lancaster. Elles se faisaient souvent la guerre, et cette période s’appelle la guerre des Deux-Roses, car chaque famille avait une rose comme symbole : une blanche pour les York et une rouge pour les Lancaster.Un jour, le 23 septembre 1459, les deux armées se sont rencontrées dans un endroit appelé Blore Heath. Le 11 septembre 2001, un événement très grave s’est produit aux États-Unis. Ce jour-là, des personnes ont détourné (volé le contrôle de) quatre avions de ligne. Deux de ces avions ont été dirigés contre de très grands immeubles appelés les Tours Jumelles, situés à New York. Après l’impact, les deux tours se sont effondrées. Un troisième avion a été envoyé contre un autre bâtiment important, appelé le Pentagone. Le quatrième avion s’est écrasé dans un champ, car certains passagers ont essayé de stopper les personnes qui l’avaient détourné. Ces attentats ont causé la mort de milliers de personnes et ont beaucoup marqué le monde entier. Depuis ce jour, de nombreux pays ont renforcé la sécurité pour éviter que cela ne se reproduise. La Chouette d’Or, c’était un vrai trésor caché.En 1993, un monsieur qui s’appelait Max Valentin a lancé un grand jeu : il a enterré une chouette en métal quelque part en France. Cette chouette représentait un trésor magique : une chouette en or et en argent, très belle et très précieuse. Pour la trouver, il fallait résoudre 11 énigmes très difficiles. C’était comme un énorme jeu de détective, dans la vraie vie ! Des gens ont cherché pendant plus de 30 ans, parfois seuls, parfois en équipe. L’an dernier, quelqu’un a enfin trouvé la chouette ! Il a compris les énigmes, il a trouvé l’endroit exact… et il a creusé. Et là, cachée sous la terre, la chouette était bien là, après tout ce temps ! C’est la fin d’un des plus grands trésors jamais cachés en France.
